Matte is made by AppVerge. It has no account, no ads and no tracking, and we never see your photos.

What we collect

Nothing. Matte does not collect, store or share personal data, and it contains no analytics or advertising code. We have no servers that your photos or details could be sent to.

Your photos

Photos you choose are framed on your device. Your prints are kept in Matte on your device, and saved to your photo library only when you save them. If a photo is stored in iCloud Photos, iOS downloads it from Apple when you open it.

Place names

When a photo includes a location, Matte can show the place it was taken. To do this, it sends the photo's coordinates, and nothing else, to Apple Maps, which returns a place name. This request is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Smart Captions

Smart Captions are written on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your photos are not sent anywhere to create them.

Purchases

Matte Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never receive your payment details. Matte checks your purchase with Apple on your device.

Children

Matte is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
